the word on the street

In case you are interested in how the average person on the street in a nationalist community like West Belfast feels about Sinn Féin’s recent moves on the policing issue, read this article by Laura Canning from the 8 January edition of the Andersonstown News. I have to admit that I missed this article the first time around, and only came across it after Belfast publisher Máirtín Ó Muilleoir gave Canning a nod yesterday on his blog. I find his blog both informative and entertaining, even though he never responded to my request to interview him about the media in the north for my thesis (ha).
